Alignment started in a major metro area and moved to Idaho
to provide a better lifestyle and lower the cost of living
for it's employees as well as myself. Living and working in
the area and talking to my counterparts, merchants and others
in the community we found that there was a need to consolidate
the businesses and provide promotion leveraging our success
in the markets. I've also found the same holds true for our
partners, many of which are in small communities also.
I worked
feverishly looking for quality products to be used in our
PBX as an example. Most diodes are made in Malaysia and China
with no manufacturers in the United States or Canada for that
matter. Most holders for the diodes also came from overseas,
but with some diligence we were able to find a company in
South Dakota that is supplying the holders and actually manufacturers
and plates these in South Dakota. When completed we are looking
at a product mainly manufactured in the United States using
mostly components manufactured here.
It's time
for change! It's time for us all to work together to build
the same quality products in the United States and find them.
I myself am tried of everything I purchase coming from China.
No wonder our economy is suffering. Next time you buy something,
try to buy it from your country. I'm also somewhat surprised
at many of our partners asking if our PBX is manufactured
here as a key point while they continue to sell Samsung and
other products made overseas. I for one will continue to manufacture
as much as possible in the states while trying to purchase
products made and grown here.
So working
with other businesses, talking with other companies and just
chatting with people in the area and our partners in the US
and Canada, we've created the Technology Alignment Main Street
Project to promote other business in the area and in the country.
Since Technology Alignment products are used globally, we
opened this up to our partner network. The program is new
and we are looking for involvement from others. If you're
interested, please let us know and we would be more than happy
to work with each of you.
Next time
you're planning to go shopping at WalMart or KMart, take a
trip to your downtown and have a look around. You may be surprised
at what you find there!
Again,
my sincere thanks for visiting our pages.
All the
best,
Dianne
