In order to move to a more scaleable platform, Technology Alignment is moving it's SMB and Enterprise solutions to a more effective methodology. The company is going Back to the Future using proven IBM iron.

Technology Alignment provides hardware, software and service for many industries. The company solutions provides a variety of methodologies from desktop operating systems to large CLEC switching and even telephone systems from SOHO to enterprise. Until recently all systems previously ran on single board Intel® processors using Pioneer Linux as the base. In order to become more efficient and reliable on a platform that would scale for it's customer's business needs, Technology Alignment selected the IBM x Series and z Series platforms.

SMB Markets

Technology Alignment is delivering superior performance to the SMB and enterprise using new technologies in hardware from IBM starting with the x Series platform. IBM delivers carrier-grade, industry-standard Intel® processor-based solutions and is optimized for the telecommunications environment from a 1u to full rack mount enclosures. Aimed at the SMB market the new switch, code named x Switch will be a front-end communications solution for business. This will replace the Pioneer Gateway routers that have reached end of life in 2009.

Enterprise Markets

Technology Alignment is bringing the solution to z Series mainframes, planned in Q2 or Q3, to allow enterprises to reduce communications costs. Using the standard base of Technology Alignment products allows the company to quickly bring to market dynamic solutions leveraging existing technologies. The enterprise solution will be using Pioneer Linux on the z Series with the HIATLANTIS database, VoIPTelCaster and nexSwitch. Other planned announcements will be forthcoming regarding other solutions for the enterprise as well as the SMB markets.

Code named the z Switch, the new offering will be released in beta in Q2. The IBM® System z and Technology Alignment offerings will provide companies the ability to leverage opensource frameworks bringing a low-cost solution to market.
